Abbie turns two!

If you know me, you know I love my niece! She is hilarious! Well, my parents and my grandpa flew in Thursday to stay with us for a night before we all drove to Knoxville to celebrate Abbie turning two! We had a fun weekend!

She had no problem ripping into the presents!

I'm addicted!

...to gardening! I know, I know... you're shocked that I've turned into a housewife after just 25 days of marriage. ha Seriously, though, I love it! Eric cleared this flowerbed out at the end of spring, and I've planted and nurtured each of these little guys since then! :) Here are some of the latest pictures:

Ok, so I'm a newlywed. I love my new life. I love my new husband. I love the new places God is taking us. AND I love keeping up with people's blogs.... so I've decided to give my own a try! :) Yay!

So much has happened to me in the past 8 months. God works in the craziest ways! Here's a timeline:

-December 1, 2007: Eric and I have our first date at his house. We babysat Haven (who was three weeks old at the time!) and watched LSU beat Tennessee! :) He cooked dinner and we watched movies... it was perfect! We met at the Titans game the next day, and he called in sick for work Sunday night. We went to dinner, Starbucks, and watched a movie! :)


-December-January: Whirlwind... totally fell in love with Eric and received the "little whisper" in my ear from the Lord telling me this was it! I literally loved every day knowing Eric was in my life! I am now a believer of "when you know, you know!"


-January 2o, 2008: Eric proposes to me out of the blue! I knew he had asked my dad and that he was looking for a ring... but he completely surprised me! It was amazing!


-January-June: Another whirlwind... weekends of meeting family and friends, showers, still getting to know each other, falling more in love, finding our church home, and planning our wedding!


-July 5, 2008: Married my best friend! :) Best day ever!


-This past month: We've spent time getting settled into our house, adjusting to married life, changing my name (no more long, confusing last name!), and resting!

Needless to say, we've had so much going on, but all the while, I realize how unbelievably blessed I am to be experiencing all of this! How cool that I get to come home to my best friend... that I know that I know that I know that he is mine! :) It's amazing what the Lord can do with your life when you finally surrender it to Him!
