Tiny Dancer

Here's our sweet girl in her first ballerina outfit. :)  Now I know she may not grow up to be a dancer like her Mama was, but it's fun to dress her up anyway!
Mama can hope, right? :)

Aunt Azzie gave her these shoes, and she was fascinated by them!  They're still a little too big, but it won't be long before she's wearing them around the house!

First position. :)  Aren't you proud, Aunt Azzie?

Happy 8 months, Addie! :)

8 months?  Really?  I can't believe I'm typing this.
Here's the little 8 month old munchkin:
Love her.  She loves to be standing!
Here are her stats:
13.5 pounds
Length TBD
Size 2 diaper (just started in these... they're a little big, but not for long!)
Starting in 3-6 month clothes!  Woot woot!
This girl can eat!  Addie's really gotten the hang of eating solids... especially in the past week!  Her favorites right now are peas, green beans, bananas, and peaches.
The exersaucer is her new favorite place to be!  She wrestles with these guys every day!  Once she figured out how to turn all the way around, she's been good to go! :)
Addie is SO happy!  I love it!  Seriously, unless she's wet or hungry or tired, she's having a ball!  I love that we can make her laugh about anything!  She giggles now, and it is just precious.  Addie is also quite the talker... I have a feeling that she'll be talking 90 miles a minute before we know it!
Addie looks adorable in whatever football team wear we put on her. :)  Naturally, she looks the cutest in her purple and gold!
Addie is still a great traveler!  We went a few places this past month, and she did very well!  ...and the girl's got good taste in music!  Whenever she is cranky, we can turn on Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" and she is a happy camper! :)
Her eyes are still my favorite... I look into them as much as I can.  I really think she enjoys looking back at me now... we can lock eyes and just laugh and smile.  It's the best feeling in the world. :)

Well, Miss Priss, you are still the most fun baby to be around... we love how you love us and want to be with us!  We are so proud of how far you've come, and we know that even now God is molding you into the beautiful young lady He needs you to be.  We can't wait to see what is in store for you, sweet girl!
We love you!

30 :)

Yesterday was Eric's 30th birthday!  We had a great time celebrating with friends and family at a local restaurant.  The turnout was awesome, and the service was great, too! :)  Here are a few pics from the evening:

Addie didn't nap too well during the day with all that was happening, so she was quite confused when we dressed her in all of her orange UT attire and then showed up at a restaurant with lots of people!  She was quite the trooper, though! :)  ...and I must admit.  She was pretty stinkin' cute in that outfit... even if it was orange. :)

We attempted a few family pictures... in this one, you'll see that Addie is trying to eat my necklace and her bow.  Simultaneously.  She's talented like that.  Teething, anyone?

My Mama helped me gather frames so that everyone could see Eric through the years... I think I had the most fun doing this!  Old photos are the best!

We did do the cheesy singing/cake thing (you're never too old for it in my book! :), and luckily, Eric had some help from his favorite niece! :)

Sibling/spouses picture :)  Obviously, this was a wee bit past Addie's bedtime. :)

T-Paw and Grandma Robbie

Mim and Poppy :)

The Wieniewitz crew :)  Trae, Abbie, Amber (and baby W :), Nonna, Papa, and Daddy Bob all came to town for the party!  Can you tell Abbie loves any reason for a party?! :)  Love that girl.

Uncle Gregg :)

This marks the end of Addie's picture journey... she was g.o.n.e.  Sweet baby. :)

Friends... Eric is really blessed with a solid group of friends that he's known for years.  Such great people!  I'm lucky to call them my friends now, too!

Even LaToya came!  Not sure why she thinks she can get out of taking pictures.  Doesn't she know me by now?  Sheesh.

Eric,
I hope you had a fun weekend, love!  I'm so lucky I get to spend each day with you.  I love being your wife and your best friend... and I love watching you with Addie!  You're such a great Daddy!  I'm glad I got to be a part of a few of your first thirty years... I'm SO thankful I get to spend your next thirty years with you!

Cue Tim McGraw song:

"My next thirty years will be the best years of my life..."

"...raise a little family..."

"...and hang out with my wife!"

"...spend precious moments..."

"...with the ones that I hold dear..."

"...figure out just what I'm doing here in my next thirty years." :)

I love you, babe!  Can't wait to celebrate with you every year!

Lately.

We have been enjoying solids!  Peas are a favorite of Addie's (as you can see)... along with bananas.  We're going to venture on to some new things this week!  She looks like such a big girl in her high chair!  sniff. sniff.  I mean, I'm so thankful she's growing and thriving and moving ALL of the time, but man, I really miss that teeny thing that used to curl up on my chest and just sleep. :(  Ahh, well. I guess that's part of it, right?

We are also venturing into new sizes of clothes!  Naturally, this makes me a little emotional, as well... ha. Addie does look stinkin' cute, though, in all of the outfits that have just been hanging in the "big" section of her closet!  We've had to retire a lot of her precious, smaller outfits... the plus is that these new ones are just plain adorable! :)  This particular outfit was sported for "A" day at her daycare. :)  She may not really understand what is going on, but we always participate.  She even brought her favorite "animal" for A show and tell on Friday. :)  Yes, I'm a nerd... but I don't care. :)

Finally, we've been enjoying some "cooler" weather.  Now, when I say cooler, I mean not 100 degrees. :)  Yesterday was gorgeous, so we went to the Farmer's Market and walked to the neighborhood park.  So fun!  The temps even dipped into the 50s last night! :)  I'm sure it will get back into the 90s this week, so we are going to enjoy every minute of this cold front as we eagerly anticipate the arrival of fall! :)

Hope you are all having a fun and restful Labor Day weekend! :)
