Happy 4th Birthday, Abbie! :)

Four years ago today I fell in love with this little beauty...  I didn't know just how much I would love her and everything about her!

From that tiny person to this precious bundle of energy... wow!  Time surely flies! She's now entering preschool, swimming like a fish, and she's a super big cousin! :)

Happy birthday, Abbie!
We love you!

Happy 6 months, Addie!

A half a year ago today, I was sitting at Baptist Hospital... loving my pain meds... finally eating something besides clear liquids... watching people come in and out of our room... and I didn't have a clue about the journey I was about to begin.  I also got to see this beauty for the very first time. :)

My little Adelyn Noelle was so tiny... so swollen... and so dependent on all of the tubes that surrounded her.

I vividly remember the first time I got to touch her sweet miniature hand.  I didn't want to let go.

Well, praise God for miracles... and fast-forward to today!

Here is the little bit on her 6 month birthday!

She's come a long way, huh?! :)
We like this pic!  She is Miss Movey Moverson lately!  She barely sat still enough for us to take these pictures today. :)

Here are her stats:

Weight: 11 pounds, 8 ounces! :)  Hooray!
Height: 23 inches
Clothes size: 0-3 month
Diapers: size 1

Addie loves to play!  She is so much fun!  Here she is in her exersaucer she got from her friends Dean and Laura.  She is just able to sit and hold herself up... for a little while anyway. :)  We practice in it from time to time to help her get stronger.  She loves looking at all of the fun stuff on there!

She also loves the animals on her playmat!  I think she has fun "talking" to them every day. :)  Aunt Azlyn sent her the owl, and she loves the cool patterns on his feet!  Mommy does have the dolphin nearby. :)  Also, this pic shows one of my fave outfits.  My dear friend, Lizzy, sent it to her... and it's just perfect.  Miracles happen.  All of these pictures are proof. :)

Addie is quite the fan of chewing.  She loves to chew on bibs, clothes, her fist... whatever she can find.  She is also a little girl who drools a LOT!  I'm thinking some little teeth are in our near future.  Yikes!

Her personality is the best!  Addie smiles and giggles all the time!  I think she's laughing at how goofy we act sometimes...

Addie is now a grabber!  I was changing her a few days ago, and I noticed her concentrating on her little birdie friend.  I ran and got the camera and she grabbed it quite a few times!  I was way excited, and she was so proud of herself!

I have a hard time deciding what time of day is my absolute favorite.  It's a toss up between mornings and bath time.  Both are so. much. fun!  I finally remembered to bring the camera in with us one morning and was able to capture some morning smiles!  It takes a minute for her to focus and realize what's going on... but then she's like, "Hey!  I know you guys!  Y'all are so fun!" :)  (Is it weird that I talk for her all the time?  I blame it on "Look Who's Talking." :)

Well, Addie... you are still the light of our lives,
and we LOVE being with you each day!
We love you so much!

Favorite Bible Verse

This week at Kelly's Korner, the Show Us Your Life topic is "Favorite Bible Verses."  What a great topic! :)  I have loved reading the responses!

Over the past six months, my life has been turned upside down... tossed side to side... twisted... thrown down... picked back up... you name the emotion, I've experienced it.  Through it all, though, I've clung to the promise that God has a plan.

My favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11.  It has been since college... it applies to my life no matter the circumstance.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

When I was in the hospital and found out Addie was coming way early, I honestly had such a peace and kept repeating this verse in my head... God has a plan.  He is in control... Was it always easy to think this?  No.  Was I Positive Patsy all of the time?  No.  Were there days that I wanted to throw things and scream because I didn't know what was going to happen in the next 24 hours of my baby's life?  Definitely.  Thankfully, God never left me during all of that and His promise was still the same.

Now that Addie is home with us, Eric and I are still going through so many changes in our life, and we have so many unanswered questions about our future, but because of the promise God gave us in this verse, we know that His timing will be perfect and that what He has planned for us will be exactly where we should be.

We are especially thankful that God included this little beauty in His plan for us:

Two years. :)

Two years ago today was the happiest day ever. :)

It has been an amazing two years, and I am so looking forward to many, many more with this amazing man!
He's everything I dreamed of... everything God knew I needed.  He makes me a better person, and I have honestly learned who I am since I met him two and a half short years ago.  I thank God every day for bringing him to me...

Sorry for the lovey-dovey post... can't help it. :)
