12 and 13 months :)

Yeah, so I'm a little behind... we haven't stopped going since Addie's birthday. Literally.

I'm making myself stop and post a few pictures tonight. :)

Hello friends!  I'm one! :)
...and I'm slightly addicted to Nilla Wafers.

Addie's personality is absolutely adorable!  She has literally come to life over the past couple of months... she's always had a sweet disposition and loved to make people smile, but now she is a hoot!

Addie can work a crowd, folks!  We love watching her interact with people we see when we go places with her.  She loves to play, play, play!  Now that she's mastered the "scoot," she can make it through the house in no time at all!  Addie goes from toy to toy every day.  She plays hard... and she sleeps hard... which is a great thing. :)

 Where's Addie??

There she is!
Peek-a-boo is the sweetest game!  She loves it!  She can sit and do it over and over and over again.  Hilarious!  My favorite is peek-a-boo with her hands.  She can't quite get them over her eyes.  They really go over her head or cheek... but when we say, "There she is!" she moves her hands and bursts into laughter!  Precious.

Most Some days Addie likes to ditch her toys for things that belong to Mama and Daddy!  Pots, pans, tupperware, Wii remotes, house phone, DVD boxes... these are just a few of her favorites!  We clean things up just for her to get them all out again.  Such a fun game, right? ha

Oh, and Mama's school bag.  How could I forget? :)

Here, Addie is showing two of her tricks at once... she tilts her head to the side and bats those eyelashes when we say, "Aww."  She also holds her arms up when we say, "How big is Addie?  Soooo big!"  This picture is a 2-for-1. :)  Such talent.

We have spent many evenings at the gym listening to Daddy announce for Franklin High basketball.  Addie does very well considering how late we usually get home on game nights.  She is such a ham for the people who sit with us. :)

Bathtime?  Still love it.  This was her first "taste" of a bubble bath. :)  She got a bathtub bubble machine for her birthday, and it's growing on her.  She still loves all of the squeaky toys and her tea set. :)

See that little curl?  I about flipped (no pun intended) when I saw it!!  I even tried to wet it and get it to lay down... it just popped right back up!  I am fine with whatever her hair does, but I sure would love a little curly haired (or just wavy-haired) baby girl!

Two things I can say about this picture:
a. My girl loves her food!  On an average day, she eats a baby food fruit, half of a pudding, and some fruit loops or cinnamon raisin toast for breakfast; she has a baby food veggie, the other half of a pudding, and corn or grean beans for lunch (with some teddy grahams or vanilla wafers for dessert), and either a baby food veggie or fruit for dinner with some kind of bread for dinner.  PLUS she eats baby puffs, yogurt melts, or cheese puffs at some point during the day AND don't forget milk.  We've moved to whole milk, and--naturally--she loves it! This girl can put some food away!  We're on a mission to help her gain weight, so the fact that she's not a picky eater certainly helps. :)
b. I think she's a southpaw... yep, my baby girl seems to be a lefty.  She'll grab and use her right hand some of the time, but for the most part, she switches to her left hand.  Eric is so proud. :)  He was worried at first about having to teach her how to write... his handwriting is not the best.  Then I reminded him that I teach left-handed kids to write every day.  Put his sweet mind at ease. :)

On Super Bowl Sunday, she wore her Titans uniform since it didn't fit during regular football season.  She was such a sweet little cheerleader! :)

Addie had a great 2nd Valentine's Day.  Every time I saw "1st Valentine's Day" stuff in stores, I wanted to buy it for her.  Then I had to remind myself that she was here last V-Day... just not at home with us just yet.  I had to go back and look at this post... we've come a loooong way in a year.  Thank you, Jesus. :)

All in all, our sweet Valentine has had a great 13th month! :)

Munchkin,
You are so amazing, little one.  We see such a light in your eyes each morning when we come in your room and see you sitting up waiting on us to come get you... that same light makes us smile every day. :)  We love that you still love us and hate for us to even walk past you without saying hi or picking you up.  We love how you shake your head when you hear music... doing your own little "dance." We love playing peek-a-boo with you and clapping and saying, "Yay!" with you for just about any reason. We love how much you love to take things out of the baskets under the television shelf. :)  We love how you love to kick around in your ball pit and just laugh. We love how well you do when we're out at restaurants and how you usually just turn around in your highchair and flirt with whoever is sitting near us. We love how you're starting to take anything and put it up to your ear and say, "Hiiii!" like you're talking on the phone. We really do love that it usually takes us two tries to get into our cabinets now. :) Your scoot is quite possibly the cutest thing we've ever seen.  We're enjoying it now because it's only a matter of time before you figure out the whole walking business.
Time is going by so quickly... thank you for loving us and praise God for letting us love you.
We love you more and more every day!
Mama and Daddy
