She's 2.

This post has taken me a while to sit down and write... not sure if it's just because life has been busy or that I just was in a wee bit of denial that my baby is actually two years old.

Regardless, I know I want to document all of the amazing things that make our girl the wonderful blessing she is.

Stats
Weight: 24 pounds 8 ounces
ON THE CHARTS! Holla!
It only took us two years, but we made it! :) Praise Jesus.
Height: 34 1/4 inches
Clothes size: 12 months mostly
18 month leggings and pajamas
18 month tops are still too big, so we're a little mixed right now.
Shoes: 4/5 (depends on what kind)

Talking: Addie pretty much talks from the moment she opens her eyes until the moment she closes them at night. She LOVES to talk and carry on conversations with anyone who will listen. One of her favorite questions is, "What ___ doin?" She also says, "Mommy/Daddy look!" quite a bit. She loves to sing, too! The ABCs is a favorite... along with "Itsy Bitsy Spider," "Twinkle, Twinkle," and "Elmo's World." :) She likes to dance when she hears music. Hysterical! She's great at making "choices" that we give her... for what to play or what to eat. She's such a little person now!

Eating: She is a fantastic eater, thankfully! Her staples are pizza, chicken, hot dogs, 'ronis, carrots, corn, and pop tarts. She also loves biscuits, cereal, bananas, grapes, chips, and pretty much any kind of candy (shocking). She loves her milk and likes pretty much any kind of juice. She loves eating from her Abby Cadabby, Elmo, Grover, heart, and princess plates, and she really wants to learn how to use a cup. We only do that on occasion... it's a little messy. :) She does pretty well when we go to restaurants. We always go in with our arsenal of things to entertain her while we wait. Puzzles, crayons and paper, stickers, etc. I'm even making her a wallet of her own to go through while we wait. She loves to clean out Eric's wallet and my wallet, so now she'll have her own!

Playing: The girl is addicted to puzzles (I need to get a picture of her doing them). When she had a stomach bug this past month, I kid you not, we did all 15 puzzles at least three times each day. She is not content to just do one puzzle. Oh, no. She does one at a time and continues until she has done each. one. of. those. stupid. educational. things. She likes to play with her baby dolls and do "artwork" at her table. She often yells out "I cula" (color) and holds up a crayon or pen.  One of her other favorite things to do is "cook" with me in the kitchen. She stands on her kitchen helper and mixes things in tupperware bowls... pouring them from one container to another, stopping every once in a while to taste her creation and say, "Mmmm... yummy!" :) She's also into "stickas" these days. The dollar bin at Target is her favorite place to find new ones... and Mommy's classroom, of course. Addie got a lot of fun toys for her birthday that she enjoys! Addie is also quite the bookworm. I love that because I know how great that is for her to love reading. Makes her teacher Mama kinda proud. :)

Addie's favorite movie right now is Annie. It is so sweet to hear her singing "Tomorrow" and "Hard Knock Life" while the movie plays. She also yells the characters as they come on screen... she'll say, "Look! Miss Hann-gin! Look! Sandy! Look! Grace!" :) Our favorite is when she bursts out laughing at the girls falling down the stairs during Hard Knock Life. I am going to have to get it on tape! It is precious. :) She also likes anything that has to do with Elmo, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, or Dora... naturally.

Addie still goes to gymnastics with Coach Tia every Saturday. She LOVES it. :) It's so cool to see how much she has progressed in a few short months. Her favorite things to do at gym are jump on the trampoline, swing, walk on the beams, and hang on the bars. She's become a very good listener, so she loves sitting on her color during circle time. We start Mommy and Me dance classes soon, so I'm interested to see how it goes. She loves to dance with us, and she's pretty good at following the moves we do. I can't wait to see her in a leotard and tights... LOVE! :)

Addie girl,
You have no idea how much we love you. It's insane.
You literally make us smile and laugh every single day.
Thank you so much for that!
Mommy and Daddy
